Making of remix designs
Here are some photos, actually a lot of photos! from making of my remix designs. The main piece was sewn from 126 stripes of furs, which means after I developed a pattern I had to share it into panels, then draw and cut the paper and then cut particular stripe from the particular fur and then sewn it alllll together. Very time consuming method I chose for the furcoat :) The second and third designs were way less time consuming, actually cutting bomber from new pelts were very easy (normaly in recycling of vintage furs there is extra work such as dismantle the coat, patchwork the piece of fabric to fit the new pattern and repair all the holes etc). The suede vest was a hard and challenging fabric to proceed but the rectangular fur pieces were an easy and smart idea. The ombre panelled fur coat was a nightmare to sew though! :-) Below also amazing photos of my fur machine and tiny studio where I normally recycle vintage furs and make bespoke garments! And as much as I am a slightly eccentric and crazy person... you can see in the pictures how much tranquility I find in the fur work! Photos taken by Hugo or me snapping by phone when it was 3 am and I didnt want to bother him so late to come over and take photos of me nightworker! #craftsmanship
