Some time ago I developed a set of patterns that I´m copying for the new garments, but bespoke furcoats always require from me transforming the ready ones into the measurements, needs and style concepts for a particular client.
Very often it is a process of developing a totally brand new pattern from certain measurements and drawing the perfect one, that would fit certain body type.
Fur coat though is not a dress or blazer which have to be perfectly fitting the body, so bespoke fur coats are possible to make from the distance and without the client by my side, coming for trying it on.  However, it is always better to try on :) especially if we are not 100% certain what we want, and how we are going to feel in it.
I am always trying to show the client (from abroad) through photos during the development of a coat, hows gonna look in different options, to make sure it will meet the expectations... and in 99,9% of the bespoke cases when they get the coat they are super happy with my work. It is nto about my modesty or not when it comes to the trust of making the work done well :)
It is a kind of the magician´s work though, especially when I´ve never seen a client (even in the photo, having no measurements etc)... happens once and it was like a poker game to cut and sew a fur jacket for a lady that does not use internet and I´ve never seen how she looks (not even to estimate the bodytype from the photo all info I had was like ¨ok size 40 and two fingers more¨ :D!) #magician

Above you can see the basic set of tools that every furrier/tailor needs in order to make clothes, specifically here, in order to make fur garments. There are measuring, drafting, marking, cutting, sewing and finishing devices such as: curves, rulers, set square, pattern master, scissors, fur knife, blades, seam ripper, hammer and nails, pencils, fur comb, thimble, needles, tape measure, pins, awl, brush to clean suede and shearling, thread, cotton tape and fur clasps.

Above the fur machine, without which I wouldn´t be able to do nothing, or I would, but by hand sewing everything it would take 5 days longer to finish each coat  and every hour is $$ so who would pay for this handmade nightmare ? :D
Me in my kitchen, posing with the new fur scarf, that I made randomly from leftovers, (actually I made two the same looking scarves, because the first version was too wide and too oversize so I cut it in half and now it looks perfect!)

PRECISION IS THE KEY TO THE SUCCESS, THEY SAY.
ESPECIALLY WHEN IT COMES TO CUTTING FUR. EVERY SINGLE TIME I DO SOMETHING CARELESSLY, IT APPEARS TO BE TOTALLY COUNTER-PRODUCTIVE, BECAUSE IN THE END I HAVE TO ADJUST AND UPGRADE IT ANYWAY, SO IT IS WAY BETTER TO CUT THE PARTS PERFECTLY IN THE FIRST PLACE.

The mess in the studio, in and on the head (bad hair day total xD).

I don´t dress for boys (tshirt) of course is the motto.
